Pentax 645Z Continues To Impress
I continue to marvel at the resoultion the Pentax 645Z puts out. Obviously with a 51mp sensor you are going to pull a lot of detail out of an image. I hear that Pentax is working on a 100mp medium format replacement for the Z. Can't wait for that upgrade and the output this will deliver. Maybe by Photokina? My personal project is proceeding along. It takes up a lot of space in the thinking departments of my brain. What to shoot, how to shoot it, and when can I schedule the time to get back out into the field and spend some time doing what we all like to do - take pictures for ourselves. The Z impresses me on its ability to pull out detail from the shadows, and the fact that the files look very clean at higher ISO levels. Mat Lombardi, a professional printer, who knocks out my prints continues to rave about my files. Though I think it sometimes it has to do with the photographer, and not so much the gear, but the tools we rely on do help the creative process along. Not much to share on the image side, but wanted to get this 30x30 print up. This one is part of the personal project I'm continuing to work on. More to come.
